My memories about my first school teacher
It is the memories and lessons from the year 1973 to 1976 during my primary school days. It gives me immense pleasure to recall my memories about my first and the only school teacher throughout the whole primary school education.
Mr H P Jangir was my first teacher who taught me to read, write, talk, calculate, cook, monitor and manage drinking water.
He was a slim and short in appearance but was a man of firm beliefs. He was a synonym of punishment non performing for students. He taught us tables upto 40 & ethical prayers in morning of half an hour and current affairs update prepared by him personally from BBC news every day. He used to listen BBC news every morning without any break. This inculcated in me the habit of listing to BBC and importance of current affairs.
He used to teach us cooking that too by wooden fuel. He shaped us to bring water for school. He even taught simple stitching and tacking bottons to shirt sleeves.
His continuous efforts without any interest taught us to value morality in life and respect for teachers.it is due to him being a role model that it never comes to my mind that a teacher can be biased or selfish.
His character and teaching methods taught us to accept challenges in life and to deal with the problems with patience, coordination and cooperation in discharge of duties.
His way of living life is today my priceless asset and guiding parameter to survive in spite all odds of life.
I salute him on this pious day of "sikshak diwas "
I am proud to be his pupil.
