I neither knew about "A" nor about "apple" . In those times English subject was used to join in course in 6th class . The book was called "Angrezi" ki kitab. I & my other classmates were around 11 to 14 years old when we entered in Six class and that was the age when no pity by a teacher was shown in sparing us from "Budhram". Budhram was a typical Rohida lath for beating the boys who could not mug up the spellings of a particular unit given from Pthiya ( a pocket book )as homework . Our aim at that time was only save us from Budhram( cane). I remember the scenes even today of my english teacher beating us in his white kurta- payajama like goats( once my father came school and heard the sound of beating from out side the classroom & he came to door...
